Frustrated
With the battle raging on between Classic Rock, New Wave, and the few remaining vestiges of Disco, one
band slipped through to take the world by storm. Yes, The Knack. 'My Sharona' was a HUGE hit worldwide
and several major labels were fighting constantly over who would sign them. Capitol won. Unfortunatetly,
Capitol didn't know how to market them by the time the second album was released. But for now, The Knack
reigned supreme!

Doug Fieger was starting to feel the pressure with this one. While a good effort, it just didn't have that
magical spark that Get the Knack did.

A great record! The Knack return to form - very sad that nobody heard it. Even more sad that they broke up
after this album was released.

I LOVE THIS RECORD!!! After 10 years of relative (recorded) silence, The Knack returned with a powerful
collection of 12 power pop gems. This band ROCKS!! Why they aren't selling out stadiums is a crime
against nature. Thank God for The Knack!

Don't really need this one, since every song is previously released. Oh, except for the Bruce Springsteen

Y'know, if it takes a multi-year break in order for there to be a great Knack album, then so be it. Seven
years after their last original release, and MAN, does this thing ROCK! Plus, they had the foresight to get
one of the greatest drummers alive, Terry Bozzio (Frank Zappa, Missing Persons). Though he was just
along for this album and tour, he infused the band with an incredible backbeat. And any band that can carry
off a sequel to one of the greatest songs ever ('Terry & Julie Step Out' = 'Waterloo Sunset' - The Kinks), is
my kind of band!

Why?!? Why can't great bands like The Knack get a record deal and have tons of airplay, even in this
homogenized era of rock music? Why must they resort to internet sales to survive? Guess I shouldn't
complain . . . at least they do have the internet to get their music out. Thank God for small favours.

Ya like? Check this out!
